Thomas "Jack" Sands

Thomas J. Sands (Jack), was born January 17, 1936 in Madison, North Carolina.  He passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at the age 85.

Jack moved to Baltimore, Maryland and worked at a shoe company.  He then worked for a paint company, mixing colors of paint for customers.  He also worked as a construction worker and was known for doing a great job; it was a job that he loved.

He met Violet Ellinger (Vi) at Woody’s in September 1979 and they were together for 26 years until Vi’s death.

Jack is survived by his stepchildren Fonda Ellinger and Frank Ellinger (wife, Tina and their children, Patricia, Rachel, Tony and great grandkids).  He is also survived by his brother Thomas Sands, Jr.; sister-in-law Doris Sands and nephew Stephen Sands.

Jack loved to hunt, fish, read books and drink beer and play cards with Vi and friends at Woody’s.

He will be missed by all of his friends and family.
