Timothy Lee Hohl

December 10, 1986 — January 15, 2024

Timothy Lee Hohl was born at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md on December 10th, 1986 to Gregory Lewis Hohl and Cathy Ann (n. Barger) Hohl of Laurel, Maryland.

Timmy, as he was known by all who knew and adored him, was sadly found deceased on January 15, 2024 at the age of 37 in Laurel after many years battling with the disease of addiction.

He was the middle child of Greg & Cathy, being welcomed into the family between his loving siblings, Brian Matthew and Carrie Ann. His childhood was spent in Laurel, attending Laurel High School and later receiving his GED through hard work and determination. He loved  all types of music, but was an especially avid fan of Eminem. He enjoyed trips to the beach, fishing, boating and many other outdoor activities. Timmy was naturally artistic, and was very talented in drawing.

For a period of time in his later teen & early adult years he would work alongside his brother, Brian, in skilled carpentry via GLB Construction and roofing via Creative Builders.

While working at ToysRUs as a teen, he met and fell in love with Amanda Lynn Stimes and the two would move to Johnsburg, IL in November 2005, welcoming their son Alec Myki Hohl, born on November 20th, 2005 shortly after their arrival.

He would remain in Illinois until the winter of 2021 when he would return to Maryland while in recovery ,and enjoyed catching up with friends and family he hadn’t seen during his years out of state. He made many memories with his cousin, Laura (n. Barger) Mclean, and her husband, Ferrari and their children, Nathaniel & Olivia. He and Olivia quickly forged a bond as evident in the numerous silly videos and photos he would post on his social media pages.

Timmy was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Lewis Hohl, his elder brother, Brian Matthew Hohl, his paternal grandparents Donald Graef and Dorothy Ann (n. Vesley) Hohl, his maternal grandparents, Golden “Joby” Barger and Patricia Ann (n. Morris) Barger and uncles Bob Pfeiffer, David Barger and Steve Barger

He is survived by his beloved son, Alec Myki Hohl, loving mother, Cathy (n. Barger) Hohl, his younger sister, Carrie Ann Hohl, uncles and aunts, Greg and Barbara Barger, James and Cathy Barger, Liz Barger, Jean Davis-Barger, Eric and Chris Hohl, Scott and Pam Hohl, Diane Pfeiffer, Ray and Sherry Hohl, Janice Hohl and many loving cousins, extended family members and friends.

Services to remember Timmy will be held on Saturday, February 3nd, 2024 at Donaldson Funeral Home located at 313 Talbots Ave (Route 198 W.), Laurel, MD 20707. The viewing will take place from 12-2pm, with the service beginning at 2pm.

Timmy’s tragic passing has only been made narrowly endurable with the knowledge that he is no longer in pain or suffering, and is now reunited with his beloved father, Greg, brother, Brian, and that the three are at peace, surrounded not only by the love of each other, but of our Lord in Heaven.
