Walter E. Kosydar

Walter Edward Kosydar, age 85, peacefully passed away at his home in Laurel, MD on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

Born February 22, 1936 in Olyphant, PA, son of Edward Kosydar and Kathryn Kosydar, nee Victor.  He lived in Laurel, MD for over 55 years and worked for the Department of Defense for 32 years until retiring in September 1994.   Walt was a member of St. Mary of the Mills Parish in Laurel, MD during his years living in Laurel.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1957.

Walt is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Kosydar, nee Kurimchak.  Also surviving are his son, Bob Kosydar and his wife Rosemarie of Severn, MD, daughter Lindy Kosydar and her wife Lori McCracken of Venice, FL, daughter Sandy LoJacono and her husband Ralph of Churchton, MD, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Walt was preceded in death by his father Edward Kosydar, his mother Kathryn Kosydar and his brother Gerald Kosydar.

Walt was a man who loved his family with all his heart and will be very dearly missed.

All services will be held at St. Mary of the Mills Parish in Laurel, MD. The family will receive visitors on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:00 am with a funeral mass following at 12:00 pm. A Christian burial will follow at the church cemetery followed by a luncheon reception.
