Warren Stanton Baker (twin)

November 24, 1926 ~ April 29, 2022

Warren S. Baker of Laurel, MD, was born on November 24, 1926, and at age 95, passed away peacefully at Virginia Hospital on April 29, 2022. Warren, known as Warnie by most, was born and raised in Laurel, Maryland.

Warren was a twin to beloved brother James M. Baker, who predeceased him, and son of Milton Baker and Ruth Elizabeth Baker. He is survived by Natalie Anderson, Patricia Higgins, Linda Weiss, and Franklin Stanton, Jr.

Warren was a kind and generous soul who loved his family and friends dearly.  He was a devoted son, a loving brother, and a wonderful human. He was loved by all who knew him. He brought so much light to the world, that even after he is gone, his light remains strong.

Warren was a philanthropist at heart and was a former member of the Alma’s Shriners in Washington, D.C. Also, he was an active member of the Rotary Club of Laurel Maryland, and a Lifetime member of the Laurel Historical Society.

Warren got his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. He worked and retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Washington D.C. and was very proud to have contributed to the section to deduct your home office square footage from your personal tax return.

Friends and family remember him as a fun-loving person. Someone who loved to travel and meet new people.  He loved nature and enjoyed the outdoors. Some of his hobbies were golf, genealogy, reading, music, and watching birds and butterflies.

Warnie will be forever remembered and loved by his unofficially adopted daughters, Likza Iglesias and Viena Mejia-Bellville and families.
