Wesly Desroches, M.D.

November 11, 1946 — April 28, 2018

Wesly Desroches was born in Port au Prince, Haiti.  His blessed parents were Raymonde Lafond and Luc Desroches.  Wesly was a bright and intelligent child. He enjoyed learning and attended medical school as a young man.  By age twenty, he married his sweetheart, Marcelle Sepulveda Brouard. Together they had two sons.

The young couple migrated to Canada with their children.  Years later they relocated to the United States where he diligently worked as a physician. He is known as a generous provider for his family.  His children and grand children call him “their inspiration”.

Wesly took every opportunity to chart new territories as he enjoyed different cultures and languages.  He travelled extensively and essentially traveled the whole world – with exception of Antarctica since he hated the cold.

Wesly was a lover of music.  He took great pleasure in the art of dancing. He particularly enjoyed “Meringue and Salsa”.  He greatly admired natural beauty and enjoyed the beach.  He also liked photography and captured many memorable, fun times with his family and friends.

Throughout his career as an anesthesiologist, Wesly became an exceptional and reliable physician where his honorable accomplishments earned him the reputation of a great physician.

He’s made some long lasting friendships during his working years. Coworkers call him a good and fun friend to have.

In recent years, Wesly discovered his identity in Christ.  His priorities and meaning of life took a whole new dimension: “Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”.

He is survived by his wife, Marcelle, his sons, Philippe Sr. and Wesly Jr., daughter in law, Collette Desroches, his daughters, Bianca and Mara, his grandsons Philippe Jr., Luc Edwin and Jaidon, his grand daughters Katarina, Jasmine and Kirstyn, his great-granddaughter Leila, also his nephews Gardy, Philippe, David, and his niece Regine.

Wesly is well loved by his immediate family, extended family as well as friends. His memory will live in our heart and mind forever.

We rejoice in the assurance that Wesly has entered Rest and Peace in the bosom of his Creator.

If desired memorial donations may be made to the Living Hope Church, 613 Montgomery Street, Laurel, MD 20707 (Please Wesly Desroches in the memo line)

We love you Wes!
