William Patrick "Bill" Lynch

On Tuesday, September 4, 2012 William P. "Bill", 70, passed away suddenly at his home in Severn. He was born in Washington, D.C. on August 2, 1942 to the late Wilbur and Kathryn Lynch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Catherine "Kaye" Lynch. He is survived by his loving children Bill (Tricia) Lynch, Danielle (Marc) Teel, Andrew (Laura) Lynch, Gwen (Kevin) Gilliard and Jill (Bryan) Knauer; dear siblings Diane (John) Chaney, Michael (Pat) Lynch, Patrick Lynch, and Chris (Cara) Lynch; and 10 cherished grandchildren. He was also a good friend and loving uncle to Heather Wilson and many relatives in the US, Scotland, and Australia. He joined the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department in 1964 retiring as a Lieutenant in 1991. He enjoyed the beach, kayaking, sports, and spending time with family. A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 am at Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church, 1239 Murray Road, Odenton, MD 21113 where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 am.
