William M. Blitz

William M. Blitz “Billy”, a lifelong resident of Laurel, passed away on January 19, 2016 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He was born on July 16, 1941 in Baltimore to the late William and Alma Blitz. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Galveston in Texas. He grew up in the family business NAPA Auto Parts in Laurel and later became the owner and operator along with his brother Jeff. Billy was a member of the American Legion Post #60 and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed boating and spending time at the yacht club. Billy had a lifelong love of Corvettes having owned many over the years.
Billy is survived by his siblings Jeff Blitz and his wife Brenda and Laurie Blitz and her husband Ron Trozzi; nieces and nephews Bill Duvall, Taylor Duvall, Rebecca Blitz, and Janice Blitz; great-nieces Gabriella Coco and Payton Albers. He is also survived by his longtime companions Gail Lorah , Kathy Nuzback and Charlette Hayes.
