William R. Davis

William R. Davis, 68 of Laurel passed away on November 13, 2020 after a long illness resulting from a stroke.

He was born October 10, 1952 to Harry Allen Davis and Mary Holowchak Davis in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Bill was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Laurel. He was a boy scout and played little league baseball in his younger days. He also enjoyed fishing and golf.

Bill attended McDonough School in Baltimore for a few years before graduating from Laurel High School in 1970. Bill graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park in 1974 with a BS in Information Systems. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2013 after he had previously worked for the Department of the Navy  and Food and Drug Administration .

He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Susan Zimmer Davis. He is survived by daughters Kelly Davis; Kimberly Treuth; son-in-law John Treuth; and three grandchildren, John Jr., Karris and Jayce. He is also survived by a brother, Harry A. Davis of  Crownsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home in Laurel.
