William J. Fowler

William J. Fowler “Billy” a resident of Glenwood, Maryland passed away peacefully at Heartlands Assisted Living after a long battle with cancer on January 21, 2017. He was 49.  He was born on November 4, 1967 in Silver Spring, Maryland to Thomas and Betty Fowler, now of Tarpon Springs, Florida.  Billy grew up in Burtonsville and attended Paint Branch High School.   He spent much of his time enjoying his boys sporting events and coaching. He spent almost 30 years of his life working for Grabber Construction Products in Capital Heights, Maryland.  Billy also created his own eBay business, Tool and Fastener.

In addition to parents, Billy is survived by his loving sons Colin J. and Ryan W. Fowler, former spouse Tanya Fowler, siblings Bonnie Michael (Butch) of Trinity, Florida, Barbara Kassler (George) of Caswell Beach, North Carolina, Terry Hoover (Frank) of Trinity, Florida, Linda Moore (Larry) of Gray, Georgia, and Thomas J. Fowler, Jr. (Anita) of Clearwater, Florida.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues.  He was preceded in death by his infant sister Cynthia J. Fowler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care or the hospice care of your choice.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the

Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Scaggsville.

Burial will be in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church cemetery.
