William “Skip” Lamont Bryant, of Laurel, Maryland Passed away on October 18th, 2022. Born on August 23rd, 1963, Skip was the son of William and Evelyn Bryant, the Loving husband of Darcy Machelle Bryant, and beloved father and stepfather to Ryan Miller, Lamont Bryant, and Raymond Strickland.
Skip graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School in 1981, and went on to study at Hampton College, where he graduated with an A.A. Degree in Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management, as well as a B.S. Degree in Accounting in 1985. Additionally, he received his license as a Certified Food Manager, a Montgomery County Food Manager, a Maryland Food Service Manager, as well as an ABC Manager’s Liquor License and a T.I.P.S. Certification. He was the Director of Operations for Oohh’s and Aahh’s Soul Food Restaurant in Washington DC until his retirement in 2019. He’s also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Skip’s life story revolved around his lovely wife Darcy as well as his children. He was a professional musician who enjoyed playing the drums and recording beats and songs in the studio. Skip also loved fishing, playing dominos, chess, and cards, as well as watching football. He had a huge sense of humor and loved to make people smile and laugh. Skip lived his life like playing chess; His goal was to be a mentor and a true disciple for the lord. Why? Because the lord saved him from a life of destruction.
In addition to being survived by his wife, son and stepsons, Skip is also survived by his brothers Shawn Powell, Greg Warren, and Aaron Hazel.
