In Loving Memory of Xiaochun Li

March 15, 1961 – July 30, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Xiaochun Li, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, accomplished educator, and lifelong learner.

Born in Mayang, China, Xiaochun showed a strong passion for learning from an early age. She earned her bachelor’s degree in China and later received a Master of Science from McDaniel College in the United States.

Before immigrating in 2002, she served as an Associate Professor in China, dedicated to teaching and inspiring students. After moving to the U.S., she continued her work as a high school ESOL teacher until her retirement in 2025. She impacted many lives through her knowledge, patience, and dedication.

Xiaochun was intelligent, disciplined, and determined. She was organized and thoughtful in all she did, and her ability to learn and adapt helped her succeed throughout her life. She was also a published author of two books, reflecting her love of education and sharing knowledge.

Outside of work, she enjoyed staying active and traveling with her family. Annual family trips around the world created lasting memories that will always be treasured.

Above all, Xiaochun deeply loved her family. She is survived by her husband, her daughter, her son-in-law, and her granddaughter, who brought her great joy.

Her strength, wisdom, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her. She leaves behind a lasting legacy through her teaching, writing, and family.

Though our hearts are filled with sorrow, we find comfort in God’s promises. Xiaochun is now at peace in the presence of the Lord, free from all pain and suffering.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain…”— Revelation 21:4

We believe that death is not the end, but the beginning of eternal life with Christ. Until we meet again in His heavenly kingdom, Xiaochun will forever remain in our hearts.
