Rosemary was born in British Guiana, daughter of Alan Hunter, Eunice Harper and bonus mother Floretta Jerome Hunter; married Lloyd Mungul in 1962; and emigrated to the United States in 1969. She loved her family and friends, was an untiring prayer warrior and evangelized many.
Rosemary enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to set foot on five continents and many islands- in business and personal travels. Faithful, proper, kind and committed, she not only raised her children but also her grandchildren and was the first caregiver of her great-grandson – sharing the knowledge imparted to her by “Aunt Rose”, her grandmother, and Stella, her “sister in Christ” teacher and mentor. A catechist and friend – she held all the children and families of her parish close to her heart. In semi-retirement, her outreach grew as she served and volunteered at St Patrick’s in Rockville, Holy Cross Hospital, and Resurrection of Our Lord. She loved to gather with extended family and friends, and was a welcome presence for all occasions.
She lives on in the lives of four children- Donna, David, Brian, and Margaret; seven grandchildren- Alanna, Braden, Mara, Jacob, Samantha, Jordan, and Madelina; one great grandson; five siblings- Leon, Trevor, Derrick, Donna, and Denise; and innumerable relatives.
