Alfred E. Pyle, a long-time resident of Laurel, MD passed away at home on January 31, 2021 from cancer, with his wife of 30 years, Carole, by his side. He was 78 years old.
He was a graduate of High Point High School and Erie County Technical Institute. He was a member of Spencerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Silver Spring, MD. He was a loving, kind, and giving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a wonderful businessman who owned Pyle Opticians on Main Street in Laurel for over 40 years. He was a well-liked and respected Optician with loyal customers.
Mr. Pyle was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph L. Pyle and Emma Elizabeth Pyle, granddaughters Cheyenne Pyle and Chloe Lee, and brother-in-law Nelson Marsh. He is survived by his children: David Pyle and Stephen Pyle; stepson Richard Newton (Elvira) and stepdaughter Deborah Lee (Jeffrey), grandchildren: David Newton (Paige), Ian Newton, Isabella Newton, Milana Newton, Daniel Newton, Hunter Lee, Cody Pyle, Blair Pyle, Amanda Pyle; sisters Joann Bell and Susan Marsh, as well as a host of nieces and a nephew. Also surviving Mr. Pyle is his brother-in-law Robert Norris (Emily).
