Allen William Brinkman

Allen (Al) William Brinkman, 77, Born in Scotia, New York and a resident of Laurel, Maryland passed away peacefully on November 29th at Gilchrist in Columbia, Maryland. He is predeceased by his parents, Agatha Bielecki and Allen Edward Brinkman, his sister Martha Ann DiSieno, and Brother-in-Law Joseph (Joe) DiSieno. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Carroll Brinkman, children Trisha Anne Cortez and Darin Allen Brinkman (Kathy), Sisters Nancy Jo Desell (Art), Linda Marie Cary (Ron), brother James Edward Brinkman (Terri), and 5 grandchildren: Caitlin Cortez, Joshua Cortez, Gabriella DeAngelo, Brooks Brinkman, Blaire Brinkman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Al served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War and at the Naval Station in Washington, DC. Al was a proud graduate of the college of Notre Dame of Maryland University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He worked at Data Technology Industries in Riverdale, The Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, and as a contractor at the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, Maryland. Al enjoyed basketball, football, tennis and golf. He loved fishing and was an avid Washington Redskins, Baltimore Orioles and University of Maryland sports fan. Al had a special love for children, animals and all things nature. His sense of humor and warm smile will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held for him in early 2023.
