Anna Marie Chippi

Anna Marie Chippi age 30, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 16, 2023 in Elkridge, Maryland after a 3 year battle with Ewing’s sarcoma.

Anna was born November 21, 1992, in Columbia, Maryland. Anna attended grade and high school in Howard County and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stevenson University with her degree in Biology, emphasizing cancer-based research. Committed to her education, Anna was a member of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society, Sigma Xi.

Anna was an adventurer and an avid photographer.  She had a deep love and respect for nature and always dedicated patience to achieving the perfect shot, whether of the stars in the night sky, a budding flower or fern, or of her beloved pets and friends.  Anna traveled to many states to hike the Appalachian trail and her ultimate adventure was a solo trip to California in 2018.  Rainy days and her cat Trudy made Anna’s heart happy.

Anna is survived by her Mother Kara Barnett Chippi, Father Brian Chippi, sister Elizabeth Barnett, (m) grandmother Norma Barnett, (p) Grandmother Marie Chippi and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  Anna was preceded in death by her grandfather Clinton J. Barnett Jr. and Grandfather Michael J. Chippi.

Relatives and friends are invited to join Anna’s Celebration of Life services on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. - 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, Maryland 20707.  Visitation is from 1:00-2:00 pm with a service to honor Anna immediately following.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Anna’s memory to either Animal Safe Haven and Adoptions (rescueandadopt.org) or Hopewell Cancer Support (hopewellcancersupport.org).
