Benjamin F. Sherman Jr. passed away on March 16th, 2021.
Benny was born in Savage, Maryland on August 19, 1930. He served in the U.S. Army in the mid 1950’s and was stationed in Germany.
He lived most of his life in the Savage area. He was employed in Baltimore at Parks & Halls auto part distributor where he was a shipping clerk.
He left there and worked for the Maryland State Roads commission.
In the early part of the 1960’s, he moved to Nevada, Iowa to be with his parents.
He worked for the City of Ames, Iowa during his stay in Iowa.
He returned to Maryland in 1968 and worked for the Prince Georges County School Systems, until he retired.
Benny is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin F. Sr, and Catherine (Welch), his brothers Francis R., Lawrence, Eugene, James, Luther Ray, and his beloved sister Mary Catherine.
Benny is survived by one brother, Edward of Elkridge, MD; nieces and nephews as well as great and great great nieces and nephews.
Benny will be forever loved, missed, and cherished.
A private graveside service will be held later in the spring.
