Bonnie Perkins, beloved wife of Robert Perkins of Howard County for more than 50 years, passed away on March 8th, 2021 after a long illness. She was 70 years old.
Born in 1950 and a graduate of Atholton High School’s class of 1968, she worked for many years in the fabric department of Montgomery Ward and also for Bethel Assembly of God. She was very proud of her volunteer work, serving as program coordinator of the Rainbows preschool ministry, teaching during Vacation Bible School and helping those in need through the local food bank. In her spare time, she was an avid gardener, seamstress, card player and retail shopper.
She is predeceased by her parents, Giles Williams and LaRue Wheatley. In addition to her doting husband, she is also survived by a daughter, son-in-law and grandchild.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 15th, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707. Due to COVID-19 concerns, only 25 visitors may be inside the building. Social distancing and proper face masks are required. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021 at 11am at Donaldson Funeral Home (address noted above) with graveside burial to follow at 1pm at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075.
