Carol Ann Marie Hall (Hood) passed away peacefully on August 15, 2020 after a long illness and the heartbreak of her husband passing away 6 weeks before her. Carol was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Harwood Park located in Elkridge, Maryland and was the daughter of the late Leona Josephine (Lucas) Hood and Paul Donald Hood Sr. She was the sister of Paul Donald Hood Jr. She attended St. Augustine school in Elkridge and graduated from Howard High School in 1964. Carol was the wife of the late John Edward Hall Sr., they were married for 53 years. Carol was “Mom” to her five surviving children; Keith Edward, John Edward Jr., Rachelle Lee, Amy Lynn and Christopher Brian. Carol loved being “Grammy” to her grandchildren; Stacie, Heather, Brianna, John Edward III (predeceased), Autumn, Christopher Jr., Zachery and her great grandchildren; Zayliana, Layla and Waylon along with several nieces and nephews. Carol was a homemaker and kept busy in her younger years raising her children, being a wife, and her many hobbies which include; crocheting, needlepoint, crafting, canning, making jellies and jams, going to craft fairs, going to the beach, listening to her extensive record collection, gardening many vegetable plants and her beautiful flower gardens. She grew up in the Girl Scouts and spent many adult years as a leader, she was also involved in Boy Scouts of America with her sons.Mother is with God, Mother is with Dad and her mom and dad, Mother was ready to go, Mother has paid her dues, Mother is still with us, Mother is at rest. There was only Carol, and she surely will be missed by many. Services will be held Friday, September 11, 2020 for her and her husband John at Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel at 1PM.
