Cindy Doss Obituary

Cindy Doss, 64, a long-time dedicated community resident of Jessup, MD, passed away on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD.

She was a beloved mother to Donald Doss, Jr, Ronnie Doss and Robert Doss; Adored sister to Candy Hennon, Debbie Poole and the late Russell Meritt; loving grandmother to her four beautiful grandchildren; Brianna, Taylor, Kasi and Nick (Waite); devoted partner to Jay Johnson, boyfriend of 37 years, and loyal best friend to Remey, a chocolate lab who was the light of her life.

Cindy was beautifully memorialized by her son Robert with the following tribute:

Mom was the most caring person. She didn’t have much but it did not matter to her. All she wanted was to love us “her kids, grandchildren, cats and of course Remey”. She also loved Jay to whom she has been with for 37 years. Mom would always make sure she and Jay were happy with what they had. Mom and Jay used to spend much of their time fishing whenever they could. She also loved to watch Nascar and loved Jeff Gordon. Most of all mom loved her Redskins. She wouldn’t miss a single game on tv, even though they were losers, but she loved them anyways. Mom and Monk became very close over the past 5 years ever since he moved back to the neighborhood where mom lived. Monk would call on mom at any given time to come up and spend time with him and Remey. And without hesitation mom would come walking up the street in her slippers to spend time with them. Mom sure did love us all, but Remey was her baby. She could not spend enough time with him. Remey would lay outside looking down the street towards mom’s house just waiting for her. And as she would come walking up the street Remey would take off running towards her and jump up on her nearly knocking her to the ground every time. But she loved that. Monk and mom shared a bond that will not be forgotten. Monk took care of mom these past couple of years. Giving her anything she needed and would not hesitate to give his last dollar to her. Thanks, Monk, for taking care of mom. Mom we will NEVER forget you. You will be in my heart forever and I will never forget how great you were. Love you!
