Conrad William Brown, Sr., passed away June 30, 2023, at the age of 73. He was born June 26, 1950 in Harlem Hospital New York to the parents of Helen Johnson Brown and William Brown. He was one of six siblings.
Conrad grew up in the Bronx, Patterson Project’s where he attended PS 31 Elementary School, Clark Jr High School #153 and Alfred E Smith High School, He graduated in 1970 and went on the become a member of the United States Marine Corps where he learned to Enhanced his Boxing and Martial Arts skills “Tae Kwon Do”.
Conrad worked as a security agent at Elijah Clark Junior High, and a Demolition Contractor he finalized his work in the Correctional Facility for 20 years before retiring. Throughout his life, he received multiple awards and trophies for playing basketball, later he utilized his Military skills and became an instructor for karate and boxing Conrad enjoyed a lot in his lifetime, including working on cars, playing cards, chess, dancing, traveling, movies, long drives, paddle ball, roller hockey, weekend getaways, and most importantly, sharing time with his beloved Family and Friends.
Conrad lived life his way but along the way he touched the hearts and respect of many.
He is survived by his loving Wife of 51 years, Yolanda;
Sons, Jerome and Conrad, Jr.; Daughters, Octavia and Marion;
Sister, Sandra; Brothers, Gerald and Sheldon Brown;
Grandchildren, TiAsha, Jerome, Jr., Aniyha, Zanavia, Zanesha, Conrad III, Zaniya, Vincent, Noelani, Arnell, Anila, and Ayana;
Great-Grandchildren, Ky’Elle, A’mylah, Ariyah, Legend, Wynter, and Kamryn.
Daughter in Law, Erica Brown; Godson, Benjamin; a Special Friend, Regina; and a host of Family and Friends.
He is predeceased by his Parents, Helen and William as well as his two Brothers, Douglas “Dudley” and Herbert Brown.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Resurrection of Our Lord beginning at 10am. Interment will be held on a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
