Craig Louis White passed away peacefully at home at 72 years of age. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna "Mickey" White and Charles White, and his older brother, Charles “Skip” White.
A bold youth, he made a name for himself (a childhood nickname anyway) with an injury sustained during a notorious game of blind dodge'ball' with a rock. As a teen, he worked at Cook's hardware store on Main Street in Laurel, MD and followed in his brother's footsteps to attend Towson University, majoring in Education. He started his teaching career in Talbot County and finished as a Social Studies teacher at St. Margaret School in Bel Air, MD where he taught for more than 40 years before retiring in 2021. He lived much of his adult life in Bel Air, MD and, after the passing of his parents, returned to his ancestral home in Laurel, MD. A quiet person, Craig enjoyed spending his free time on the porch of his family home reading a good book or watching a choice TV show/movie. Craig was a loving and generous godfather and uncle to his nephew, Christopher as well as a dedicated teacher who loved his students. Craig is survived by his sister-in-law, Stephanie White, and nephew, Christopher White. Rest in peace. We love you.
Visitation hours will be held at Donaldson's Funeral Home in Laurel, MD on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm and funeral services will also be held at Donaldson's Funeral Home on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 11:00am. The family invites any former students, colleages, friends, and neighbors to celebrate Craig’s life.
