Darlene Taylor (lovingly sometimes called Dar or Dean), age 59 passed away in Baltimore, Maryland on April 2nd, 2022.
Darlene was born January 30th, 1963, in Tampa, Florida, daughter to Daniel Spence and Frances Thorpe Harrell. She moved to Maryland at the age of 4; where she grew up in the Baltimore area. When she was older, she met & married Lawrence Taylor Sr. Together they had three children: Lawrence Jr, Melissa & Kristina. Later on, she met David Klein Sr & together they had two children: David and Angel.
Darlene was a free spirit who loved her family fiercely. She loved holidays where she got to spend time with her children & grandchildren. She loved taking trips to Ocean City and West Virginia to visit her brother, David. She puts of lots of pride into her garden and the various flowers that would bloom each Spring. She enjoyed trying to win it big off of scratch offs, walks with her love Mike and dance parties with her grandchildren. Darlene loved a good tan and could often be found laying outside in her bathing suit trying to catch some rays. She had a huge heart for animals, cats especially. She took care of cats of all kinds.
Darlene was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Thorpe Harrell.
Darlene is survived by her five children: Larry Taylor (Jenn), Melissa Taylor, Kristina Taylor, David Klein, Angel Stanley (Mikey); five grandchildren: Troy Klein, John Lawrence, Jase Lawrence, Aubreanna Hammonds & Jacob Hammonds; four siblings: David Spence, Larry Harrell, Patrick Harrell & Sadie Harrell; her loving fiancé of 13 years, Michael Dennis and a host of other family members & friends who loved her deeply.
Funeral service for Darlene will be held on Saturday, April 16th at the Donaldson Funeral Home; 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD. Public visitation will be from 10am to 11am; service will begin at 11am. Internment at Union Cemetery will take place immediately after.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family at the Elks Lodge in Laurel for a celebration of life from 3-5pm.
