David Malcom Hill, 71, of Beltsville, Maryland passed away on August 7th under the care of his wife and Hospice at their home. Born on September 9, 1951 in Maryland, the son of the late Junior Carl Hill & Eva Mae (Boswell) Hill.
Dave grew up in Rockville and graduated from Springbrook High School in 1969. Served in the Navy for 2 years while stationed on an aircraft carrier.
He enjoyed spending time with his family which included playing on a baseball league with his brothers. He had a licensed construction business "Hill Brothers" with his siblings. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and owned at least 4 Harley- Davidson cycles including a 3-wheel. He would participate in motorcycle rallies, bike fests and bike week in Ocean City among others.
Dave and Janet did some traveling in their RV to Canada, Florida and Tennessee and took a trip to Hawaii and went on two cruises. He enjoyed bowling and played on a league with his wife.
Later in life, hobbies included collecting Mythical dragon statues and pictures and building Legos including a 4000 piece car and motorcycle.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Janet (Ricketts) Hill, his 2 children: Krissy Griffith and husband, Shane, Michael Hill and wife Diana; 3 grandchildren: Madison, Dalia, and Dominic; 4 step children: Michael, Steven, Byron, Amanda; 9 step grandchildren; 4 siblings Larry (Josette), Steve (Clara), Connie (Donny), Jimmy (Terry) and nieces and nephews.
