Edward Kingsley, of Essex, MD passed away Wednesday, August 9th, 2023, at 85 years old. Eddie was born June 5th, 1938, in Washington, DC, to Bayard Kingsley and Margaret Smith Snyder. He attended Bethesda Chevy Chase High School before furthering his education at The University of Maryland, and later joining the United States Army.
Eddie went on to sell real estate part time, and later settled into the role of internal commercial salesman with Duron Paints, until his retirement in 2001. Eddie was a very devoted family man that loved to read, play golf, go antiquing, and collect Jim Beam bottles, coins, and sports cards. His favorite thing to do was watch sports, especially his beloved New York Yankees, and Maryland Terrapins.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Bayard Kingsley, and Gordon Edward Kingsley; Stepchildren Nicole Mamula and Robert Mamula, Sr (Angela); Former spouse and good friend Kathryn Kingsley; Sister Sharon Bernard and brother in law the late Steve Bernard, and step-grandchildren Ellie Mamula, Miranda Mamula, Peyton Mamula, and Brady Mamula. He is predeceased by his parents, as well as his brother Robert “Bobby” Snyder (Patricia).
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 25th from 11am to 12pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel, 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707. A funeral service will be held at 12pm, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
