Ed Seddon, of Laurel, MD, passed away August 14, 2023, at the age of 82. Born on May 6th, 1941, in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and grew up Brownsville, Pennsylvania. He was the son of William H. and Mary (Terpo) Seddon, brother of Phillip (Terry) Seddon, all had preceded him in death. Ed served in the United States Air Force from March 28th, 1962, to December 12th, 1966, continuing his service to his country at the National Security Agency until his retirement December 3, 1993.
As a member of the Laurel Elks Lodge #2283, Ed exemplified and magnified the Elks virtues of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity in every manner every day. He served as Lodge Exalted Ruler for 3 terms and as Lodge Secretary for 24 years, he also served the organization as the appointed District Deputy of the Grand Exalted Ruler (1988-1989).
The Elks Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 11th, 2023, (Patriots Day) at the Laurel Elks Lodge, 8261 Brock Bridge Road, Laurel, Maryland, 20724. A light meal will be served starting at 5:30, followed by the Memorial Service at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held with military honors on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, Maryland, 21032.
