Elmer Siasoco Mendoza, age 67 of Metro Manila, Philippines passed away October 31, 2020.
He was born in 1953 to Eugenio Villalon Mendoza and Loreto Siasoco Mendoza of Marikina City, Philippines.
Educated by the La Sallian Brothers since elementary, he earned a degree in Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Commerce at De La Salle University, Manila.
He started his career as an administrative cashier of Ramond Brown & Root – Mowlem at the US Naval Base in the island of Diego Garcia. He then later moved to Kuwait where he worked at the US Embassy and eventually retired after 15 years as a financial analyst.
Elmer was a member of The Lighthouse Church of Kuwait and The First Baptist Church of Laurel, Maryland. He passionately loved the Lord Jesus and served in the praise and worship team of both churches.
He was an excellent guitar and bass player and was a founding member of the Kuwait Jazz Trio and Bar None Band of Kuwait. He was also a member of the Pinoy-Harley Team Kuwait and enjoyed traveling, biking, and watching movies in his free time.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Natividad Mendoza with whom he has 5 children;
Dino Marcus Mendoza married to Marie Criss Lapara Mendoza, Pola Mendoza-Duong married to Jackie Anh Duong, Maria Anna Claudia Mendoza married to Juan Miguel Paulo Landicho, Jaco Pio Mendoza Mendoza, and Dr. Nika Mendoza Moshtaghi married to Dr. Alexander Cyrus Moshtaghi,
his grand children; Evan Minh Duong, Ian Hung Duong, and Alexander Cyrus Moshtaghi II, and also survived by his sisters, Lilia Mendoza Tuazon and Maria Luisa Siasoco Mendoza.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio Villalon Mendoza and Loreto Siasoco Mendoza, and his younger brother, Edgar Siasoco Mendoza.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, November 7, 2020, 10:00 am at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707.
