On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, Eva Mae Hill, beloved mother of five children, grandmother, and best friend passed away at the age of 90. Eva Mae Boswell, one of nine children, was born on October 25, 1930 in Rockville, Maryland to parents Bessie and Jack Boswell. She attended Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland and later she married J.C. Hill. They lived in in Silver Spring, Maryland for more than 50 years.
She adored being around children and thrived as a cafeteria manager at William Tyler Page Elementary School in Montgomery County for over thirty years. She had a love for animals as well, and was often referred to as “Dr. Dolittle”. She will be remembered for her contagious smile and positivity, in addition to being the rock and pillar to her family, friends, and neighbors. Her actions were always lead with love and kindness. The world was a better place with her in it.
Eva is survived by her five children, Larry, David, Stevie, Connie and Jimmy, her daughters-in-law, her sister, Margaret, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her husband, J.C. Hill, died in 1996.
Eva will be laid to rest next to J.C. at Parklawn Cemetery on Friday, February 5th at 1:00 pm.
