Gary was born on 6/2/1942 in Washington, DC, the son of Edward Henry Gebauer and Helen Louise McClow. Gary grew up in Hyattsville attending Bladensburg High school. After they were married in 1967, they moved to Laurel Maryland where they built a life and lived for 55 years. Gary worked in the flooring trade for numerous companies before starting his own business, Patuxent Flooring Contractors in 1983. When he retired, he had more time for the outdoors where he loved to trap, fish, and hunt with family and friends. Gary and wife were blessed enough to have an Ocean City condo they enjoyed every summer- boating, crabbing, fishing, and spending time with friends.
Gary was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Laurel.
He was a proud member of the Maryland Fur Trappers Inc and was a volunteer at the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge.
