Geraldine Y. Fogg was born on March 2, 1937 in Warren County, North Carolina to the late James Young and Ruth Young.
She started her education in Warren County and Henderson North Carolina. Later years, she married Howard Thomas Fogg where they had 3 children; Jean, Cynthia and Tyrone and moved to Washington, D.C.
Geraldine started her education in nursing and she graduated. She then started her nursing career at Howard University Hospital and the Lutheran Home for 40 years.
She was a member of St. James Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. and served in Missionary. She sang in various choirs and was the church nurse for many years.
She was family oriented and devoted to her family. Everyone called her “Mama”. She had a very big heart and a loving spirit. Her hobbies were cooking, upholstery and making jewelry.
She leaves behind her two children, Cynthia L. Fogg and Howard Tyrone Fogg; daughter-in-law, Zelene Fogg; 4 grandchildren, Preston Leon Twyman Jr. (Ivory), Frank Sparks IV, Crystal Fogg-Hall (Chris) and Robert Newton (Kiera); 16 great grandchildren, Preston Dijon Twyman (Shea), Daeisha, Briauna, Cameron, Santana, Kendall, Kingston, Princeton, Kaiden, Khalil, Amira, Amari, A’Ezra, Amani, Eli and Kayson; 6 great-great grandchildren, Malana, Jayceon, Desiree, Peyton, Parker and Akira; devoted cousins, Al and Freeda Burton, Leon and Linda Dixon; and a host of other relatives and friends
