Jean Curtis, daughter of the late Edgar and Gwendolyn Curtis was born on September 9, 1944 in Kingston, Jamaica. Jean Curtis entered into eternal rest on March 30, 2021 at the age of 76. She was beloved by her brothers, Dr. Derek Curtis, Carlton Curtis and Trevor Smith. Jean was a loving and caring aunt to her nieces and nephews, Dawn Meyers, Derek Curtis, Carlton Curtis, Don Curtis, Kimberly Curtis, Richard Curtis and Anna Kay Curtis and grand-aunt to Kayla Meyers, Alaiyah Curtis, and Yassin Curtis. Jean always valued family and was very supportive to many.
After graduating from Immaculate Conception High School in 1963, Jean obtained her associates degree in the field of business in 1965. Jean was then employed by Jamaica Public Service (JPS). In 1970 Jean immigrated to the United States. She worked at the International Monetary Fund from 1974 and retired in 2004 (total of 30 years). Jean loved to listen to country music and to travel back to Jamaica every year to spend time with family.
Jean Curtis was a faithful servant to God. She was a woman of character and principal. Jean always kept her great sense of care and concern for her family and had wisdom and compassion for others. Jean touched the lives of many and will truly be missed. Her family and friends will forever carry her memory within their hearts.
Visitation at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel on Friday, April 9 from 11 AM to 12 PM when the funeral services will begin. Interment Ivy Hill Cemetery
