John Anthony Brown, 58, of Laurel, MD passed away on November 3, 2021 from Covid pneumonia. He is now at peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John was born in McKeesport, PA on August 10, 1963 to Barbara and Duffy Kelley. He was raised in West Elizabeth, PA and attended Thomas Jefferson High School.
After graduation, John joined the Army for three years and then began his long career in the home improvement industry; first at Hechinger, where he met his wife of 27 years, and then ending his career at The Home Depot as the Baltimore Branch Installation Manager for almost 21 years.
As an avid Steeler fan, John had season’s tickets with his brother for the past 27 years and drove to almost all the home games. He was a handyman who loved to do projects around the house, as well as help out anyone whenever they needed him. He was an amazing father, husband, son, son-in-law, brother, friend, coworker, and neighbor. Everyone he met was changed by his kindness and he will be missed dearly.
John is survived by his wife, Julie; his daughter, Jadyn; his siblings, Julius Brown (Michele), Anita Brown, Charles Brown (Susan), Edna Brown, Rhonda Wicks (David), Cheryl King (Andre); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
