Joseph P. Chervenak, Sr., age 79, passed away in Laurel, Maryland on the 29th of August, 2021 from acute myeloid leukemia.
Born August 7, 1942 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, son of Frank Chervenak & Wilhelmina (Cherry) Chervenak. He lived in Laurel, Maryland and worked for The Warehouse Inc. (“TWI”) and Mid Atlantic Toyota until retiring in June 1993. After retiring from MAT, Joe and Marlene opened the Gallery of Rare Treasures in Olney, Maryland.
Joe is survived by his brother Francis Chervenak and his wife Barbara (Fordyce) Chervenak; first wife Hazel (Coffman Chervenak) Moats; his son Joseph P. Chervenak, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Kimberly (Heim) Chervenak, his granddaughters Madeline A. Chervenak & Catherine M. Chervenak; and his special friend Ana Ortiz. Joe was preceded in death by his second wife Marlene Penniston, his son Daniel G. Chervenak, his daughter Angela L. Chervenak, and his daughter-in-law Kimberly (Hannigan Chervenak) Blair.
Services will be held on Tuesday, September 7th at 1:00 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. in Laurel.
