Obituary

Joseph Wisley,  91, of Lanham Maryland passed away 22 February 2021.

He was born in 1929 to Benjamin and Dolores Wisley in Mauch Chunk/Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.

Joseph Wisley was a member of the Elks, American Legion and VFW through which he enjoyed many volunteer activities such as playing Santa at  local nursing homes.  

He Retired from the National Security Agency after 48 years of service and served in the United States Navy and Reserves.  As an avid Washington football fan he  worked part time at RFK Stadium for over 20 years.

He Is survived by his daughters, Karen Wisley and Valerie Linger; his granddaughters Amanda Wisley-Brown and Jessica Linger; his sister Carol Ann Drosdak; and his sister-in-law Betty Sindicic.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ann Wisley; sister Doris Powers; brothers-in-law Mike Senda,John Sindicic, Robert Drosdak, and Jack Senda; and sisters-in-law Louise Senda and Sue Senda.  

Visitation   at the Donaldson funeral home in Laurel Maryland on Thursday, February 25 from 11:30 to 12:30. A graveside service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 1:30 PM
