Kimberly Ann Young, 56, of Savage, Maryland went to be with her Lord and Savior, December 11, 2021 surrounded by her beloved family after courageously battling ovarian cancer for five years. Kym was born to the late Thomas and Edna Faye Boone on September 5, 1965, and raised by the late Donald and Beatrice Smallwood. Kym was a dear sister to Thomas Boone, Robin Boone, and Jeffery Smallwood.
Kym was the true love wife to Mitchell Young for 38 years and immensely proud of each of her surviving five children: Adam (Monica) Young of Stevensville, MD, Seth (Ashley) Young of Finksburg, MD, Andrew Harding of Boonsboro, MD, Emily (Chris) Greene of Savage, MD, and Melissa (Wayne) Crawford of Savage, MD. She was a cherished Memaw to twelve grandchildren: Kayden (16), Lane (15), Emalyn (9), Paisley (8), Parker (6), Finley (5), Brantley (5), Reece (4), Greyson (3), Ella (3), Ryker (3), and Brooks (3).
Kym found her purpose and passion in this world in her service to her anchor, Jesus Christ. She was a role model for other Christians to emulate. Her greatest gift was that she always made the lives of everyone around her better. Kym was warm loving, fiercely compassionate, and a true friend to her immediate and extended family, church, school, and community. She supported her close group of Teal Sisters in their fights against ovarian cancer. Kym was a graduate of Hammond High School Class of 1983, where she would later return to serve as an admired health room assistant nurse.

Hebrews 6:19
19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,
20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
