Landry Fabrice Chakoute Nana; husband, father, son, brother, friend, entrepreneur and resident of Laurel, MD, died unexpectedly on July 29th, 2023 at the age of 42.
Landry Fabrice was born in Yaounde on May 18th, 1981, to Jeannette Batchanji and Giles Nana. He graduated from the prestigious Catholic University of Yaounde in 2003 with a degree in Business Finance and worked at BICEC Cameroon, Standard Chartered Bank, and MTN Cameroon prior to moving to the US. On July 15th, 2011, He married Juliet, with whom he was blessed to raise five wonderful boys - Alex, Kellan, Nathan, Ethan, and Julian.
Landry Fabrice was the quintessential dedicated father. One of his greatest joys was the time he spent with his sons. From driving Alex to soccer practice, baking with Kellan and Nathan or listening to music with Ethan, he cherished these moments. He would always tell the boys a saying which his mom taught him: "le charactére d'un homme c'est son travail. La richessse d'un homme c'est ses rélations".
He gave his best in his work; in Cameroon as in the US. He was a hard worker who took pride in providing for his family. His colleagues at Isaac's appreciated him for his work ethic and cordial personality. He was a devout Christian involved in many church activities. And wherever he went he built a community by pouring into colleagues and friends who eventually became his family.
Entertaining is what he loved to do because it combined two of his passions; baking and music. Through these channels he nurtured his family and his community relations. His signature "landrysauce" his "galette des rois" and the time he spent making meals with the boys will sorely be missed.
Landry Fabrice is survived by his mother; his wife, Juliet Nana (née Batupe); his beloved children; his sisters, Joelle, Patricia, Rita, Nally and Valerie; his brother, Eric Joel Nana, and a large community of friends and family. He is predeceased by his father, Giles Albert Nguembou Nana.
He will deeply and forever be missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
