Pauline (Jenkins) Reel

On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, Pauline Reel (age 87) of Laurel, MD, went home to be with the Lord.  Beloved by many, Pauline spent her life loving and giving unconditionally.  From her devotion and unwavering service to the many organizations she was passionate about to her commitment to the little ones she helped raise who call her Nana.

Pauline never did anything halfway.  She was always dressed immaculately with her matching outfits, hair done, nails painted and adorned with her jewelry.  She was always happy to lend a listening ear, give a hand with tasks, share advice (whether you wanted it or not), and provide support as able and needed.

She loved the holidays, as was evident from her home and happenings.  Her house was always decorated festively, and she took pride in repeatedly winning Maryland City’s best decorated house award at Christmastime.  She spent each Thanksgiving cooking and delivering dinner to those who needed one and she was well known for her amazing Pumpkin Rolls.  Each year at Halloween, Pauline hosted an open house (literally with the door wide open) with a corned beef and cabbage dinner and lots and lots of candy for anyone who stopped by.

Pauline had a servant heart.  She was a member of Hope Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Odenton Eastern Star #29, Laurel Fire Dept Auxiliary, Ladies of Laurel Moose, and Laurel American Legion. 

Pauline was a true and devoted friend to all, and we will carry her memory in our hearts always.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit on Thursday, April 28, 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm  at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A.  313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD. 20707.  The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 29, from 11:00-11:45 am, at Hope Baptist Church, 8801 Stephens Road, Laurel MD 20723. Interment immediately following  at Ivy Hill Cemetery, 1201 Sandy Spring Road, Laurel, MD 20707.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Hope Baptist Church (8801 Stephens Road, Laurel, MD 20723), Odenton Eastern Star #29, Laurel Fire Department Auxiliary, Ladies of Laurel Moose, Laurel American Legion.
