Samuel Smitson Obituary
Samuel J Smitson (Sammy) 74 of Laurel peacefully passed away June 26, 2021 at home.
He was born on Feburary 5, 1947 to Samuel Thomas Smitson and Sadie Elizabeth Sealock of Lusby, MD.
Samuel Smitson was a member of the APA Pool league for many years playing 8 and 9 ball.
He retired from Sam Scrap.
He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, fishing, guns, bows, old cars, and playing with his grandkids.
He is survived by daughter Laura Davis, son-in-law William Davis III, granddaughters Paige and Shyenne Davis, brother Benjamin Smitson, sister-in-law Debbie Smitson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his late wife Bevery Smitson. Siblings, Francis Harrell, Mary Smitherman, Robert Thorpe, Jimmy Thorpe, Melvin Smitson, Nancy Stamm.
Visitation will be on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at 11:00am followed by service at 12:00pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707. Friends and family are asked to gather at the Laurel Elks Lodge, 8261 Brock Bridge Rd Laurel, MD 20724 from 2pm-4pm.
