September 9, 1935 ~ October 17, 2023 (age 88) 88 Years Old
Sister Patrice (Barbara) Wales S.A.C., Ph.D., a member of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters, Queen of Apostles Province, was born September 9, 1935, in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Robert C. and Bernadette (Dyer) Wales. Sister Patrice died Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the age of 88, at St. Mary’s Convent Infirmary in Huntington, WV
Sr. Patrice entered the Congregation of Pallottine Missionary Sisters on September 8, 1957, in Huntington, WV. How fitting that she would return to Huntington for healthcare, and the Lord would take her peacefully to her final home. Sr. Patrice made her First Vows on August 15, 1960, and her Final Vows on August 15, 1966, at St. Mary’s Convent Chapel, Huntington, WV

She was a subject of biographical record in The Marquis Who's Who in American Education fourth edition 1994-1995
A member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution 1997 with five descendent revolutionaries, was a chapter officer at the Toaping Castle where she was a chapter officer. She was admitted to the chapter on February 8, 1997
She was elected as President of the Sisters' Senate of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC where she served two four-year terms 1998-2000,2000-2002.
She served the Pallottine Sisters in Rome for almost 12 years.
She Taught Chemistry and Biology at St. Vincent Pallotti High School while holding an administrative role as the Sponsorship Director.
Special thanks to those who to care of Sister Patrice at the St. Joseph’s Infirmary, Huntington, WV, Mrs. Josephine Saunders, Sister Stella, Sister Karen, Sister Izabella as well as the nursing staff at the hospital.
Sister Patrice will be interred at St. Mary of the Mills Church cemetery, Laurel, Md.
