Coffey family, I am so sorry for your loss of Ellen Douglas (always knew her by that name). We corresponded several years ago about our ancestors. She would always let me know of reunions. I have fond memories of visiting you all in Bristol. Actually, staying a few days. So good to connect with Kerry. Hope we can get together. If the service is here, I look forward to seeing you all again. Prayers and love, Barbara

I met Ellen in the 1950's when she was the Director of Religious Education at State Street United Methodist Church. She always had some activity planned for us teenagers, and the projects involved helping others. I remember trick-or-treating for UNICEF at Halloween, making Christmas ornaments from cookie cutters and making candles and then going Christmas caroling to the houses of shut-in's who could no longer go to church. We presented them with our ornaments and candles. So, while we had fellowship together at MYF (Methodist Youth Fellowship) we also were doing things to help others. This has carried throughout our lives. What a wonderful gift Ellen gave us teenagers! My love goes to Ellen and all her family and friends. Louise Bennett

Uncle Bob, Bill and David,
Our deepest condolences to you at this difficult time. Aunt Ellen was wonderful at keeping the family connections alive. We enjoyed spending time with her at the many Wagner reunions. She will be remembered for taking the time to make each person feel special.

Dear Bill, David, and Mr. Wagner,

I was so sorry to hear that your Mom passed away Sunday. I just heard of her passing this afternoon. She will be missed by all and most of all by you. I still have and will always treasure the "Ironman" painting she did for me when I was in elementary school. I wish I could be there in person to say farewell with you. You are all in my prayers as well as those of Claudia and Christina.

Ellen served as a matriarch of her entire extended family. She tirelessly worked for years researching and preserving our family history which will now be passed on through forthcoming generations. I will always cherish the summer visits as a child where Aunt Ellen taught me many crafts like needlepoint, rug hooking, and painting. Our holidays were never complete without a visit with the Wagners. Ellen will always be remembered. My love to Uncle Bob, Bill, David, Lisa, Ian, and Sydney
