To the Carder & Volk Families,

Doug and I were saddened by the news of George's passing and our hearts go out to you all. Although the pain you all must endure cannot be comforted, his loss can never be replaced and his memories can never be cast away, we hope you can find comfort in the caring of those who love you and who loved George oh so very much. Death only separates us physically from our loved one but the spirit and joy that your dad, husband, brother, uncle etc. brought to you all remains alive. It remains alive in the kind deeds he did and in his unconditional love for you all.

An unknown author once said, "Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives." In the days ahead we hope that you will all will look to your friends and family to comfort you, your faith to uphold you and loving memories of George to heal your aching hearts.

It has been an honor and a blessing for us to know George and we will cherish our last time talking with George at Melissa and Dan's wedding always. Please accept these written words as warm hugs to wrap yourselves in, and know that we are holding you all close to our hearts during this difficult and sad time. We hope you know that we are here for you all and we care for you all so very much.

With all and Love and Sympathy,

Doug and Linda Orndorff

I am so blessed that I was able to spend a few more days with you. You truly were one of the biggest inspirations of my life. You taught me compassion and love. I will always treasure our memories.
You touched the lives of so many people, including your many grandchildren and great grandchildren. They always brought a sparkle in your eye. I love you forever and always. Your loving daughter, JoAnn.

I'm so great full that I was able to be with you your last few hours. You were a great father and friend. You were stern when needed but soft hearted, as well as lovable at the same time. I will forever cherish our memories, lessons learned and adventures we had along the way.
You were truly a role model at a time when people are confused about what a role model is and embodies.
Your Grandchildren loved you immensely.
Everyone came first in your book, before yourself.
I love you Dad. See you in heaven!

Dad, I will always remember your sense of humor, your optimism, and the love and caring in your heart. I couldn't of asked for anyone else as a Father and as a Great and True friend. You are truly loved and will be missed. Until we meet again, in my heart always. Love your Son, John
