Your Dad & my Dad were best friends since they were young. They enjoyed so many memories & experiences. They enlisted in the service together so they wouldn't be drafted. They shared many many stories with my son of their service experiences & their mischief. Mr. George was a good man! Another of the Greatest Generation to leave us. I know he & your Mom & my Mom & Dad are together having fun. RIP Mr. George.

Dear Ann and family, God has called another angel home. Your wonderful father was a dedicated man in all aspects of life. I found him to be a very interesting person to listen to and he never said an unkind word about anyone. We have all lost a good friend. He set such a fine example for all of us to live by that it would be difficult to duplicate. He was never afraid to share his knowledge and help anyone out in any way he could. Thoughts and prayers are with you in the days ahead.

Miss Vicky: Your DAD was not only a War Veteran But rather a War Hero who among many took time to Fight and Protect our Freedom. He also took time to raise a fine Daugher. We should know - she is our President at Mayberry Archery.
We are all sorry for your loss. And send God's Blessing to you and Family.

George was a wonderful member of our Dustin's extended family and we ALL just loved having him be part of picnics and hearing all of the bantering between he and Aunt Jo and Uncle Frank and all of the stories. Quite the character, he'd flirt and bring smiles to all of the ladies at the Country Buffet Lunch Bunch. A belated fond farewell from my mother, Eula Phair Higdon who passed away in Nov. 2014 and heartfelt love from Dave & Terrie. **The posted pictures are wonderful.

I simply wanted to express my deepest sympathy and sorrow on the passing of George. I did not know him, but have heard a lot about him from Ann. I'm glad to be able to actually see his picture! Its a great picture. George and his family are in my prayers.
