Greg, where have you gone my friend? It's seems it was just yesterday we were laughing about our kids adventures and talking about fishing this summer. I shall miss you at Muirkirk for the morning recap and in the evening at the same parking lot just talking sports or whatever. How can it be his will that you left us so soon? Farewell for a while, we shall meet again my friend, in a place full of love and peace.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of my Friend, former neighbor and MARC train rider, Greg. I gave Greg the name of " Mr. Marc" after he was the 1st person to respond to aid our conductor that collapsed and died when we pulled into Union Station. Greg and I talked every morning about our kids, athletics, buying kid's cars and I even helped him with a family laptop issue. We exchanged laptops at the coffee shop at Judiciary Square and we laughed because the transaction looked so " seedy". I stopped riding the MARC train when my office moved and I started driving in. At that time, I passed my seat next to Greg to my husband so they would have fresh ears to chat inbound and on the outbound commute back to Muirkirk to chat about kids, sports and the Marc train service. To the family, Greg was an awesome person that always has a smile to go along with that big laugh. He LOVED his family.... Thank you for sharing Greg with his Marc train family.

Valencia, Alexandra & Greg Jr., I grieve with you, but I want to say Greg loved you all. Many conversations we had about family and he loved his family. Though I've known Greg just several years, I can say he was my friend. Even after I left OSHA, we still stayed in touch and he continued to encourage me. He will be greatly missed. I know undoubtedly he made a positive difference in the world, and it shows in the lives he touched. I have been and will continue to keep you and your entire family lifted in prayer. God bless you all and may God be your strength.

Met Mr. Greg in my initial courses with OSHA (25 years ago) [pic attached] - what a great guy & rye sense-of-humor (handsome man in many ways). Even then, his destination was Washington, DC. I used to tell him that he was nuts. Later, he would call me and pretend to be an old lady making a complaint (use your imagination). When he knew he had me, he would laugh... then I knew and the cussing began. My true, heartfelt condolences to his family - his dedication was to you. His absence leaves a little-bit-of-empty in many people.

My deepest sympathies go to Greg's family. He was a fine man, a great co-worker, and a good friend. I'll always remember the kind (and funny) words he spoke at my retirement luncheon. He brought a sense of joy to work like that bespoke a hearty, loving spirit.

To the Barber family. Please know that my deepest condolences are being sent to your family this day. Greg truly went over and above to help me in career here at OSHA in Philadelphia. He was always just a phone call away and will be greatly missed.

Greg was a compassionate personality, expert safety professional, always supported Federal Agency Safety Program, and a person that we called upon for guidance - he always responded as a supportive professional. Greg was a friend as well, and we rejoiced when we spent time together. I will certainly miss him but I am so delighted that our journey in life intersected some 7 years ago - I am a better person and safety professional because of him. Family, Greg cared for you all, and he talked about you all with honor. Greg, Peaceful journey and farewell for now..

To the Barber Family,

Words are too inadequate a measure to express my heartfelt sorrow and sympathy for your great loss. Greg was a true friend, buddy, wrestling partner and brother in my life. I will always treasure the times we wrestled and partied together for Northwestern High School, 40 years ago, and the friendship we made from then to forever. Greg was one of the rare people who could find good in everyone he met, humor in every situation he was involved and laughter in every circumstance that surrounded him. He was the constant professional who loved people and had such a great passion for life. Greg brought humor and happiness to all who knew and loved him. I will forever miss Greg's humor and laughter he brought to my life, on the mat and off. His genuine heartfelt smile and his personal spirit that brought so many people together, I pray heaven to bestow the best of blessings on the Barber Family and Greg's final journey and know his Mom and Dad will watch over him with the Lord.

To you Greg, I thank you for your true compassion, personal friendship and competitive champion spirit!

God bless you all,

Bill Vucci

Valencia, Alexandra and Greg, Jr., My prayers are with you as you go through the loss of your husband and father. Know that Greg loved you and always talked about his love of his family. As his friend and coworker, I will miss him much. The void in the office is felt deeply. Know that he is no longer in pain and it is all in God's plan. Just lean on God for your strength as you go through this transition.
