John was my uncle, but seemed more like a brother as he was only 7 years older than me. I remember him as a loving, kind person who gave great hugs. When we were young, I use to sit by him and listen to him playing his guitar. I'm sure it was hard on him to suddenly lose his mother at a young age, but he still had a gentle, kind father.

Family, we are sorry to learn of the death of John. The many tributes listed give evidence John is loved by many and will be sorely missed. May your many memories with him give you peace today and in the many days to come. May the words of Jesus at John 5:28,29 bring you comfort, he gives us the promise of a real resurrection to eternal life. Our condolence to all of you.
