Please accept my condolences. I just found out yesterday when I received my copy of the Gallaudet Today magazine, which contained her death announcement.

I am sorry to hear the news I didn't know. I have known her for a long time when I was an employee at KDES. She usually come in for interpreting and the best interpreter ever. May she rest in peace with the good Lord.

My condolences to members of the family. Mary Anne was a dear friend and colleague. It was always a pleasure working with her. She was talented and well respected in our community. I met her at the first CODA Conference in Fremont, California, in 1986 and we've been friends ever since. She will absolutely be remembered.

To the family: I'm so sorry for your loss. It's very painful to lose someone you love dearly. The bible gives us hope though. In Acts 24:15, it mentions that there will be a resurrection. So this means that you will have a chance to see your dead loved ones again. Isn't that a wonderful thing to look forward to? I hope that this brings you some comfort in your time of grief and if you would like any further information about the resurrection hope, please visit jw.org

Gee, MaryAnne and I spent hours chatting about just anything. Met her for the first time at the COED meetings...She flew with me to Puerto Rico and interpreted my presentation. She was one of a kind. I also felt I knew Danny and Katie from the stories she shared. We had fun celebrating our January birthdays. I know she was happy to have lived as long as she did.
May God bless you all!! ~n

I got to know Mary Anne when we both worked at MSSD back in the 80s and/or 90s. I found her knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. When I've thought about her through the years, it is always with much fondness.

I remember when Daniel and later Katie became part of her life (and Linda's). They were clearly important to her.

I last saw Mary Anne at the DSA conference in Baltimore in 2014. We shared the elevator more than once and enjoyed "mini conversations".

Fly free, Mary Anne. You've had an amazing life.

When MaryAnne was 50 years old which is 20 years ago, she shared with me how thankful she was at that time to be a cystic fibrosis survivor. I've admired her incredible courage and strong will to live life to its fullest. MaryAnne is loved by many and will be greatly missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept these words of encouragement at Revelation 21 : 3,4 which speaks of a time when sickness, pain and death will be no more. Isn't that a wonderful time to look forward to!!! May you draw comfort from this loving promise.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
Recently I lost my dear mother, and
found great comfort in the Holy Bible,
like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 - "The
Sovereign Lord will swallow up
death forever, and wipe away
the tears from all faces. For more
comfort, I turn to the website at:

Mary Anne lived much longer than expected with CF. I am grateful to have been her friend since 1980 when I moved to work at Gallaudet. We were roommates at the first CODA Conference in Berkeley, CA in 1983(?) I was in her home in Laurel when the kids were small. I moved back to California in 1983, but saw her whenever I visited Gallaudet. We were in the doctoral program together; she completed her degree, I did not! I saw her a few years ago at the Deaf Seniors Convention in Baltimore and we spent some time together. I shall miss her. My sympathies to family and friends. Joyce

Mary Anne I remember at the age 8 standing at the foot of your mothers bed right after you were born. You have been a walking miracle. And have out lived many children with Cystic Fibrosa by 50 years. I remember when Galladet had their protest regarding the president you and Tillie were with you at the hospital when your mother made her grand entrance into Heaven when I arrived at the hospital you told me your mother was in a coma BUT she woke up and said Myree and Aubrey are coming I dreamed they were coming and they arrived after their brief stay she went back to sleep and in several hours right after midnight she slipped away. You let us know you were in the hospital and I replied asking you to all me. I was going tonsendbsome articles. I had. Writing my book The diary CATtakes a journey. I love you Mary Ann
