I was shocked to hear about Sara. Her quiet competence, grace and thoughtfulness was the face of the DRR/NCRR front office for many years and through many directors. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this sad holiday time.

Aunt Sara will be greatly missed. She was kind, warm, patient and fun loving. I will miss her mischievous antics the most. XOXOXOXO

Sara was one of the most thoughtful, selfless, and generous persons whom I have known. Not only was she extremely competent in all that she did, she accomplished her goals with a smile and with a wisdom and gentleness that soothed us all. I had the privilege to work with Sara for six years at the NIH, and she lightened the load for all of us in so many ways. Our biggest tribute to her is to pass some of her kindness along to others.

I was fortunate to work with Sara for a few years at the NIH and then to remain friends with her through Facebook after she retired. I will remember her as always kind, thoughtful and positive. Rest in peace, dear Sara.

I am devastated. Sara was my dear friend, coworker ,and the most kind, thoughtful and loving person I have ever met. I was lucky enough to keep in touch with her regularly after her retirement, but now I wish I had seen her more. It is inconceivable to me that she has passed on. There is an unfilled space in the universe that will always be Sara's. I send love, light and prayers to her family and hope their memories will help them through this time of profound grief. Goodbye my dear dear friend.

My heart is very heavy with sadness. Sara was a good friend, confidant and coworker while I worked at NIH, and our friendship remained strong after we both retired. Sara was the first person to speak to me when I started working at NCRR in 2005. She will be missed in the physical sense, but will remain forever in our hearts. The Good Lord will now have her in His Arms. Prayers are with the family and all the friends that Sara made. I don't think she every had an enemy. Her kindness for animals and the empathy she had when mine passed will forever be a special rememberance. Today I looked at all the little things that Sara has given me over the years, and they brought a smile as well as a tear. Thank you for coming into my life!

I am so sorry to hear of Sara's passing. She and I worked together for many years. She was always posting and commenting on Facebook, so we were able to keep in touch in the digital world. Sara was truly a warm, caring, thoughtful and conscientious individual and will be missed by so many of us.
