Tokunbo Oluwafemi Ogunyemi was born in Oxford England, on June 6, 1976, to Johnson and Florence Ogunyemi.
Tokunbo attended University of Ibadan and graduated with honors in biochemistry. After leaving university Tokunbo moved to the U.S. where he graduated as a doctor of pharmacy. He worked for different companies as a pharmacist where he was able to touch many people's lives.
Tokunbo demonstrated his generosity, compassion, humility and selflessness to his family and friends every day. Through his words and his actions, he was able to show everyone how much he cared for them. He lived life to the fullest and was a loving brother, son and friend.
Tokunbo was a devout Christian and worked effortlessly to be like Christ. His commitment to God was apparent to everyone around him. With every text, phone call and meeting with someone, the light of God shone through him. Tokunbo will be missed dearly but he lived a life that we should celebrate and emulate.
Tokunbo is survived by his parents Johnson and Florence Ogunyemi, his siblings and their spouses, Ayo and Yetunde Okesanya, Dele and Yinka Ogunyemi, Femi and Abiola Akinwale, as well as his nieces and nephews, Omotunde, Ademide, Ayotunde, Amaris, Ayolani, Ayotoni, and Eliora.
Tokunbo was such a light in our lives and we are so proud of his many accomplishments and legacy and how he has touched all of our lives. We grieve not because we doubt that he is with God, we grieve because our time with him was so short. We find our comfort in knowing that he received onto glory when he was closest to God. We all love him so dearly but we know that God loves him infinitely more. He will forever be remembered, loved, and cherished
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Chapel of Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue Laurel, Maryland 20707 on Friday at Noon. Interment to follow at Maryland National Memorial Park.
