The Brown family is a big part of the happiness I knew as a small boy. They were our downstairs neighbors in Kay Laurel apartments. Wayne and my brother, Jack, were close friends, Sunday mornings, the aroma of Billy Brown cooking potatoes and onions in the parking lot in his bus, (I still cannot smell them to this day and not think of the Browns.) Wayne, Carla, Cathy and Jack on the front stoop carrying on.. My mom complaining to Marlene about the men drinking before noon. Such a wonderful and kind family. I’m saddened to see this, though 7 years later, I apologize for my overdue condolences, but I just learned about his passing today, and and I felt compelled to share my memories with you. I thank all the Brown’s for them. I shall never forget any of you..

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Wayne.
He was the first person I met in Laurel in 3rd grade.
We enjoyed lots of great times together.
The best thing is the stories of those times that I get to tell my children.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends that "WW" touched... our love to you from Florida.
